Gaughan - A Tower (2021)

Gaughan is a series of work based on family history memory and place.  The central image is the ‘The Deserted Village’ in Achill Island. The work is intended to explore the link between this image and my family of origin. It will be informed by research from the folklore collection in UCD ,Museum of Country Life and grounded by interviews with local people whose family history originates in the Deserted Village.
